Hello Beautiful souls. Let’s look at burnout !
I would like to ask you some questions to allow you to think about your work ethic today. With the ever changing world and the Pandemic many of us were forced to work from home.
After this change and many still working from home, it has added and caused many people to lose sight of the boundaries and balance between work and home life. It takes huge discipline to make sure that you are not pushing yourself too hard.
Are you experiencing any of the following?
You are the first one online or at work and the last to leave.
You struggle to have a healthy relationship or spend time with your family or loved one's because you are too busy at work all the time.
You have no outside interest or don't spend time in nature any more.
You don't bother to get dressed up and comfy clothes are so easy to put on every day.
Work consumes you all day and you continue to check emails every moment of your day.
Sometimes you don't make time to eat. The balance between work and pleasure is non- existent.
Your sleep patterns are disturbed or you struggle to wake up.
You are unable to have a holiday or take leave because there is too much work and no one to do your job ever.
You miss important personal events, like birthdays and devalue personal priorities because you are always working.
You use your work as an excuse to not do things.
You define your work ethic as..."I am not a workaholic...I just like to keep busy"
My message today is about understanding being a workaholic. Are you addicted to work or are you just very busy? You don't have to make yourself miserable to be successful.
In between the goals there is a thing called life...that has to be lived and enjoyed. Life is too short not to stop and enjoy some time living with some enjoyment and spending time with loved one's! Workaholics are compulsive disorder personalities and stand a very real chance of experiencing stress, job burn out, anger, anxiety, depression, headaches and sore stomachs and utter exhaustion!
We have to STOP 🛑 and take a good look at our day and start to take ownership of planing time out, NOW!
