Breathe…

Hello beautiful Souls. Today I am offering a Mindfulness Practical Exercise.

Your 15 minute mindfulness time out! Find a space where you will not be interrupted. Sit or lie down comfortably ensuring your spine is straight.

*Close your eyes. Inhale to the count of 4 through your nose and hold that breath for the count of 4, then exhale through your mouth to the count of 5. Repeat this breathing technique 8 times.

Open your eyes. Now go and fill up the kettle with water. Listen to the water flow into the kettle. Switch the kettle on and hear sound if the element heating up. Consciously listen to the sound. Acknowledge the sounds until the kettle boils. Now make yourself that beverage and listen to each sound.

Now as you pour the water into the cup, as you stir your hot drink listen to the spoon against the cup. If you add milk, sugar or honey, be very aware of each physical movement and audio sound. Once you have made the beverage go sit down.

Now take a sip of the tea/beverage and acknowledge each sip until the drink is finished. Relax and focus on how you feel. Tell yourself in your mind what this feeling is.

Now still perfectly still, close your eyes and do normal breathing with both feet flat on the ground and unfolded arms.

Now breathe again deliberately, focusing on your inhale and exhale for the repeated to the count of five. *Now repeat the original deep breathing exercise you started with at the beginning. Now enbrace your arms around yourself and give yourself a tight long hug.

Now breathe in deeply through your nose to the count of 4 hold that breath for the count of 4, exhale really slowly to the count of 5 . Now breathe in deeply through through nose and let out a hard deep sigh through the mouth.

Open your eyes and say, " I can feel calmer". Do this kind of exercise of awareness alternating the exercise as you you see fit to help you become more mindful of what's happening around you. Each time you make a, hot drink repeat this. Keep calm ....just breathe. Do these exercises at least three times and you will feel the calmness. Much love 🙏🏻
