Embrace all... Even your past as lessons

Writer: Avra PoelmannAvra Poelmann

Hello beautiful Souls. My message today is all about embracing your past.

If you erase all the mistakes and hurts of your past, you also erase all of the wisdom and growth of your present.

Life is a little like an onion. Sometimes, when we peel away the layers and cut them into slices, we end up with a face streaming with tears. The onion does, however make the basis of many delicious and lovely meals. We can have it raw, saute, golden brown or even caramelized. We make the same kind of recipes in life with both good and bad outcomes.

Remember the lesson, not the disappointment. Sometimes we find the onion sharp, tangy, acidic, sweet or it could even be juicy. Our past, like the onion is just as useful as a basic ingredient to make us who we are today. It's what moulds us and gives us the lessons to find what works for us.

It sure is time to find gratitude in the onions that may make us cry!
