Touch and our senses

Hello beautiful Souls. Greetings all, today my message is about our feel good hormones.
Mostly, humans and animals thrive on some form of human interaction and affection. We need to physically be "in touch" to accommodate our "touch sense" this makes us feel grounded. We will enjoy a back rub, a massage or a great big hug🤗. We feel comforted when we hug🤗 . It's a feel good, sense.
When I did a TRE (Trauma Release Exercises) course I was made aware of hugging 🤗 yourself. Have you ever given yourself a hug? 🤗 Notice how when you are feeling out of sorts, uneasy or scared you will often fold your arms. (you are in this way unconsciously hugging 🤗 yourself!)
You will also fold your arms to indicate separation from others when you wish to retract or or protect yourself, often unconsciously. You display the body language "Stay away from me" We can adopt the habit of giving ourselves a hug. 🤗
Take a deep breath in and then exhale, then embrace your self tightly. When we embrace in the form of a hug 🤗 it is, non sexual. It's more about feeling comforted. This triggers the the brain to release a hormone called, Oxytocin. This is known as a "bonding hormone" which stimulates dopamine and serotonin which are your "feel good" hormones.
This reduces stress. We can trigger our "happy" hormones by moving, physical exercise, laughter, eating things that taste good, either spicy or sweet or by touch and intamacy. We also trigger these feel good hormones with our other senses eg. When we see or smell something that makes us feel good.
When we lack Oxytocin we feel anxious and fearful. It is important to have human interaction in order for us to feel grounded and balanced. The energy we give and receive has no boundaries and never stops. Interesting that music also enhances this feel good feeling.
Hugging 🤗 trees also give us a sense of comfort and grounding. We absorb energy from all living things. Giving a hug 🤗 to your pet is just so comforting and beneficial. Get your hug 🤗 today and make this time more bearable, even if you have to hug yourself! 🤗
