It’s ok to accept help

Hello Beautiful Souls! My message today is about reaching out for help.


Do you often have trouble asking for help? You might feel you have always been let down so no longer ask for help and rather do it alone ? When we don't allow ourselves to ask for help because we feel we are being a burden or it's "too much" to ask. When our stubborn pride or Ego kick in, it's important to remember when we are putting ourselves at risk for our own good health and sanity.


We all need a good support structure and need to remember that asking for help is an honest acknowledgement that we are in need. This is in fact a strength, indirectly by reaching out we are helping yourself through the kindness of others. Even though we may think we are strong enough to stand alone most of the time we have to be wise enough to know when we need to be almost brave enough to ask for help.


The result will come as a surprise to us because we don't often ask others to help you. When we venture out and simply ask.....people will shower us with kindness. We are more than often the inevitable one who gives kindness and love out and find it easier to give than to receive! It’s your turn to receive too sometimes… acceptance of kindness is as important as giving it. This is an area of our survival we all need to remind ourselves about. Very often we forget that when we shut our friends and family out they can too feel helpless.


If we want to support a “giver” then you need to “give” without asking their permission. Don’t ask what you can do help them they will tell you they are ok! Simply make a meal, go visit them, suggest an outing, get some supplies or pitch up and say hey I need to do something with you. Make them feel it’s about you and they will embrace the love and support.


Sometimes no one knows we are needing help because we portray a sense of being ok! Dedicated to those who always think they can go it alone. It’s ok to accept help!
