Mindsets and stubborness

Writer: Avra PoelmannAvra Poelmann

Hello all you beautiful Souls! Today my message is about the difference between stubborness and set mindset.

We have a natural ability to be stubborn and strong minded. This is often seen as a negative character trait!

In fact, it is often seen as our minds way of protecting and looking out for ourselves. When I see a child behaving in stubborn manner, I always feel how strong that child will be as they grow up.

When we are stubborn, we have to recognize that it is a childish and immature behaviour when it is not to our advantage as a positive option outcomes. Having a set mindset is very different to being stubborn.

When we have a set mindset we are not very willing to change our ideas or thoughts. It is important to understand if our thoughts are learnt or habits too. It's a space of years of conditioning. We don't always recognise this as the truth.

A change in mindset can be achieved if we are willing to look at different perspectives and given some factual information to help us reframe our thoughts.

When we are stubborn we tend to keep standing our ground and think we are making sure we are not taken advantage of! It is more than often sending a message of power. We may not want to hear something and do know it's the truth. In essence we are not able to look at any other option even if it does not serve us well we remain hell bent in our decisions if we are stubborn.

When we are experiencing healing and growth we have to have an open mindset, a certain amount of tenacity and a will to achieve. We have to keep telling ourselves that we will be able to achieve our desired goals and continue to be warriors and fight to win the war of survival.

No matter what physical or mental challenge we have to face, without perseverance and a strong positive mindset we will struggle to overcome our challenges.

Sometimes we have to just be a little stubborn to overcome our trials and tribulations! Sometimes we simply need to persevere and change our mindset. It's about a positive mindset and an inner strength!
