Permission to make progress and goal setting

Hello beautiful Souls. My message today is about giving ourselves permission to make progress and goal setting.

It's a wonderful reminder that true progress can be achieved with our intent and permission. Breaking down the practical steps to turn those intentions into reality.

Here are good basic guidelines.

The Foundation: Permission and Purpose:

Let’s begin with a powerful truth: before we can achieve anything, we must give ourselves permission. This isn't just a mental exercise; it's a fundamental decision to stop staying in a place that no longer serves you.

It's the moment you choose courage over fear. Fear is a reaction to the unknown, but courage is the choice to step into that vulnerability. This is where your journey truly begins, setting you up for new opportunities and different perspectives with no limitations.

The Steps to Achieving Your Goals:

Once you've granted yourself permission, you can follow these steps to turn your dreams into reality.

Step 1: Define Your "Why"

We must first find out what we want to achieve. This is the most critical first step. Go beyond a simple statement like

“I want to be successful." Instead, ask yourself:

• What does success look like and feel like for me?

• What specific, positive outcome am I working toward?

• Why is this goal important to me?

Understanding your "why" gives your goals purpose and provides the motivation you need to keep going, especially on difficult days.

Step 2: Make It Tangible and Actionable

A goal is a dream until you write it down and create a plan. Make your goals SMART:

• Specific: Clearly define what you want to achieve.

• Measurable: How will you know when you've reached your goal?

• Achievable: Is this goal realistic given your resources and time?

• Relevant: Does this goal align with your values and overall purpose?

• Time-bound: Set a deadline to create a sense of urgency.

Step 3: Break It Down into Steps

A big goal can feel overwhelming. To combat this, break it down into smaller, manageable actions. For example, if your goal is to write a book, your first step might be to outline the first chapter. This makes the process less intimidating and gives you a clear path forward. Every small action you take is a win, building momentum and confidence.

Step 4: Take the first action, and the next , and the next.

Don’t forget, most importantly, goals require action. This is where you move from thinking to doing. Don't wait for the perfect moment or all the answers. Take a small, imperfect step today. The act of doing something, no matter how small, is what separates dreams from reality.

As you fight through the bad days to get to the good ones, remember that every action, no matter how small, is a step closer to your goal.

Step 5: Embrace the Journey

What you get by achieving your goals is not nearly as important as what you become. The person you are at the end of the envisaged journey—with newfound resilience, discipline, and wisdom—is the true reward. Believe in YOU and follow your instinct.

Stay aware of the progress you are making, learn from the setbacks, and remember that every experience is a part of your transformation. Change “I have to … I want to” You got to be in it to win it!
